The Fighting Forum / Re: Latest From Josh Teis
« on: Today at 04:41:17 PM »
I am definitely NOT defending the egregious erros of the old IFB, but if Josh doesn't hold to "the first three," he need not call himself IFB.

Yeah, if Teis thinks independently on these three things that aren't fundamentals of the faith, where does he get off calling himself an independent fundamentalist?

Besides that, Steve Anderson will make a nasty video about him!
If it compares to the one about John Guy it would be a hoot!
To make Steve Anderson's hit list could be either really good, or really bad...

We can develop this thread nicely.
It sounds like you are late for class when...
You leave your mobile home in Gary off ridge road, you get half way to school, and you realize you have two different shoes on. :P

Wake up  you Stinkin' Deadbeats!!!!!!!

Sorry.  I just closed my eyes for a minute.
That's the way it always starts.
It's too late for you...

Sad day.
Did the take some of your prunes away?

No.  Not if they valued their life.

A fellow wardmate passed and today is his memorial service.
Sorry to hear about your loss.

I did find a link; please let me know if you want me to post it.
Thank you yes.  I need sermon material for next week!

This is posted on YouTube; I assume that they have audio only at their web site, but I didn't check.

It appears that the speaker is not the pastor of the church.
Thanks

Can you give us the Cliff notes please?  Lot of reading there.

Liberty is trying to deflect the criticism that they operated a real estate venture on behalf of the Falwell family....and the excess of information is purposeful IMO.

I have no doubt but that the original hit piece on Falwell Jr and Liberty were politically and spitefully motivated. I also have no doubt but that much of the info in said hit piece was exaggerated and/or false. I also have no doubt but that some of the allegations were true. I am a Liberty alumnus but no LU apologist. There are things in the article that give me pause and frankly didn’t surprise me.

I hope the truth comes into the open, that sin (as well as any legal wrongdoing) is dealt with in a Biblical manner and that the school is stronger for it in the long run.
Thank you.

Despite all the bad things that people (including me) say about him,  Jim Vineyard did teach us a lot of good things.

Thanks for this... people are a combination of good and bad things... the people we paint as horrible usually have some good points, and our whitewashed heroes have their not-so-minor flaws.
