You have heard a great many Arminian sermons, I dare say; but you never heard an Arminian prayer
"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be, the last of life for which the first was made." Robert Browning

Although upon doctrines of grace our views differ from those avowed by Arminian Methodists, we have usually found that on the great evangelical truths we are in full agreement, and we have been comforted by the belief that Wesleyans were solid upon the central doctrines. (Sword and the Trowel, May, 1891)

"I have my own opinion that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and Him crucified, unless we preach what nowadays is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else"

Charles Spurgeon
