I read not too long ago that the Southern Baptists used to ordain women, if memory serves me correctly, in the 70's and early 80's. I think the last one still serving retired around 2010. I didn't think any Baptist group had ever ordained females.

I'm laughing so hard at the "ReformedGear.com" ad

Found these on their site:

I don't understand this one, is it for false prophets to wear so they look cool?

Is this a diaper?

The Anti-Ruckmanites need to buy this:

Reformed logic: "Atheism does not exist"

Did you mean to say "Atheism is wrong?" The belief of Atheism actually does exist

This must be a smear site selling merch that mocks the reformed crowd. I'm thinking of getting the "got tulip?" shirt just to wear it around my reformed friends.

Please understand that this is the exception rather than the rule. Each Southern Baptist church is completely independent from all other churches. There is a movement, just as there was in the 80's to push more liberal theology. It was stopped then. It will be stopped now. I have a feeling that you will see some major changes in leadership at this year's convention. Th current president kind of took everybody by surprise. He was in his 40's and pastor of a very large church in NC. At the last minute the conservatives ran a man in his late 70's which was exactly what the liberals were complaining about. f the conservatives can run a younger man that can draw people it will help. As a rule Southern Baptist Churches are very conservative but people get tired of the same old faces after twenty years.

Uh, there is not going to be a "this year's convention." The Orlando convention has been cancelled.

WHO here do you think would say 'Amen' to this?
