I've never had these things popping up before...now, every time I come here I'm being lambasted with them! My anti-virus program just locked up my system and said one was infected with a virus. Don't know which one because it stopped it.
What in the world is up with all these POP-UP ADS?

There can be a fair number of ads on some pages (the number varies), but I've never seen any pop-ups. You might want to give your system a thorough scan and cleaning.
I have, and I regularly stay on top of these things. Don't know if everyone would call them pop up ads, but I know that when I have hit a certain posting in the fighting forum or the fellowship forum, instead of going to the item I hit, I have an advertisement, sometimes as big as the page, blocking me. I have to hit the "close" that is listed on the ad for it to disappear. If I think about it and I have my phone handy, I will take a screenshot of it and post what I'm talking about.
Well at least you know where you can purchase a lathe now.
That would be helpful if I truly NEEDED one! LOL I don't!

Ah. OK, that's definitely a pop-up, by the look of it. Still, I've never seen that behaviour on the forum. It uses Google Ads and as far as I know it just inserts them into the page flow without lightboxing them like that. I'm still inclined to think the issue lies on your PC rather than the forum side.
Everything on the PC is in top shape...might be in Google's servers...don't know. This is the only site I get these on.
Yeah, the ads are obnoxious on this site. I see them when I log in on my phone. My desktop has a modified hosts file that eliminates them. I'm thinking the 'FSSL' is the owner? The ads are his/her/their source of revenue. It seems they care more about their rv travels than the Gospel and the health tyranny at the doorstep.

It seems unfair to me that some businesses need to pay the Webmaster to advertise here, while others, like Lew Rockwell and the Epoch Times, seem to get promoted for free. Please let me know where I can send your invoice.

To be honest, there ARE too many ads here...I don't usually like wasting my time on sites that try ot overload people with unnecessary mind manure!
Do you have AdBlock installed? The only ad I see here is the one at the top of the page.
