This Quote Sums Up My Concerns

I can love my enemies, but it does not mean I have to like them

Can you disciple a person who you don't like or consider your enemy?
It depends on the nature of the animosity. If I have done all I can to be biblical and to as much as lies within me to live peaceably with said individual and there is still animosity, it's on them, not me.

Try to disciple someone like that and tell me how well it works out for ya.

Did Jesus attempt to disciple the Pharisees?

Would Jesus attempt to disciple a democrat? 😎

Congratulations. I continue to be hopeful that the believers will see that the political pact that is in play has done far more harm to the church than good for the gospel.
Congratulations for what?

Oh the drama.
You are such a Pearl clutcher.
The Gospel has been thwarted by Christians who vote Republican.
If God were only sovereign!

The educational system is brainwashing the younger generation right under our noses with most parents having no idea how insidious it is. For Christians to attack people like Charlie Kirk and others who actually care enough for young people to tell them the truth while at the same time pointing them to the gospel is just as insidious. I find it amazing that Sub claims he voted in the last election but is too ashamed to even say the name of his impeccable choice who seemingly doesn’t have any warts or flaws like the rest of us have. I guess its because he doesn’t want to be involved in “politics” and yet that is about all he talks about around here. There will never be a perfect candidate for President or any other world leader until Jesus Christ Himself returns to earth to rule in righteousness with a rod of iron. Until then we must settle for flawed men and women to vote for.

Recognizing the problem is one thing. I hope Mom sat her girl down and had a serious heart to heart with her about the hate bandwagon.

Y'all are funny. Arguing with your own made up assumptions about me.

I don’t think it’s the entire educational system, but I do think there are a few rotten apples that make it seem like the whole bunch is spoiled. Like police officers, there’s an occasional tyrant or compromised cop, but that doesn’t mean our entire justice system is rotten. It just means that the very few bad ones make for better clickbait and higher ratings.

Did Jesus attempt to disciple the Pharisees?

Joseph of Armiathea is described as a disciple. He was a member of the Sanhedrin, meaning he could have been either a Pharisee or a Sadducee, and the text doesn't definitively state which party he belonged to, if either.

However, he objected to Jesus's crucifixion (Luke 23:51) and showed concern for righteousness and the proper burial of the dead, which at least suggests he leaned in a Pharisaical direction.

Similar to Nicodemus... Neither of which had animosity towards Jesus.
