Kenny Baldwin

Who here can testify before everyone that they never ever, under any circumstance or situation,
That they never, ever, could commit a sin like or akin to Kenny Baldwin's sin?

Not justifying Kenny's sin, he deserves to make little rocks out of the big rocks at the gray bar hotel.
He had dragged the name of our precious Lord Jesus Christ through the mud and hindered the testimony of Christ.
He never needs to preach again.
He's diabolical, vile, despicable and all kinds of other adjectives.
His victims are scarred for life and need our prayer.

But who here can testify before everyone that they NEVER, EVER, under ANY circumstances or situation could EVER commit a sin like or akin to Kenny Baldwin's sin?

I'm just asking!

Exactly. While you're at it, please upsize my French fry order.
LOL. I will sometimes post a statement making the same point I was going to make because it was posted first, but there was no gesture of regard for the poster.

Sorry to deflate your ego. Maybe alayman will take your fry order. 🪅

I’m guessing you are a member of a IFB church?

You act like we’re talking about getting drunk or overeating or if a man cheats on his wife.

If there are other denominations that talk like this I haven’t heard of them.

I’m guessing you are a member of a IFB church that welcomes these people into the membership?

Here’s the problem. If a man has a problem with alcoholism and backslides he isn’t destroying a child’s life.

If a child molester backslides guess what happens?

I'm old. I've done things I shouldn't have done in my life, but the thought of exposing myself to anyone makes me sick to my stomach.
Anyone who has thoughts of doing something as diabolical as that has issues they should deal with.
I wish he hadn't done what he did, but I'm also happy he got exposed. He has a sinful condition that can't be cured.

And should never be accepted into a church membership ever.

That’s ALAYMAN, Ransom eats your lunch, and your gay.

Should they be allowed to attend church at all?
If it was up to me, no. But I don’t know if you could do that legally.

If a child predator shows up this is how it should be handled in my opinion.

He should be pulled to the side or into an office sat down and be told this. Look we know that you molest children. The next time you show up, every adult male and every adult female will know who you are and be told you molest children. You will never preach in jails or anything like that in this church. You are dismissed.

He doesn't necessarily have to be! I often hear the same arguments in the SBC, Cowboy, and Free Methodist churches. Not all people who try to show a little Christ-like grace to people are IFB. Granted, Kenny Baldwin deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life picaxing stone. But, remember, the Bible clearly states the phrase, "And such were some of you, but you have been washed...." Christ forgives sin, yet he also points out that there are consequences for egregious (sp) sins like this.He truly should have a millstone strapped to his neck and thrown into a lake. Clear as mud, right? LOL

I don’t equate myself to a pervert.

If you believe that you could be put in a situation that you would be tempted to do this then everyone that is in your life should be warned.

I know how you feel, and in my protective fatherly/pastoral/manly perspective would agree, but in view of the totality of Scriptures I don’t think you should dogmatically proclaim keeping a repentant sinner from the assembly, given proper oversight.

Here’s a balanced view of how I would view the situation.

I think in one of the points maybe 10or 11 he basically said what I said. And that is, basically the entire adult membership will know who you are.

I personally believe that there is no room for these kind of people in my community much less the church I attend.

If the church I attended allowed a pedophile to become a member I would no longer go to that church. And I would tell anyone that was interested in going to that church that they allow pedophiles to be members there.

Why? Because people need to know where they are bringing their family.

“If your first response to the Kenny Baldwin story or any other abuse scandal is to empathize with the predator and say, "that could have been me" you are not a safe person.”

- Preacher boys podcast
In all situations a Christian should have compassion for everyone involved mixed with a strong dose of judgement for the wrong doer. As a men we should want judgement and the compassion will have to come later. I am saddened by the pain such behaviour brings to the victim and their family and friends as well as the family and friends of the accused. They did nothing to bring this hurt on themselves. I am also conserned how such events hurt the cause of Christ. Be sure your sin will find you out is still in the book. "WHAT WAS HE THINKING" he had to know it would come out, it always does? We also need to create a culture where the victims feel comfortable seeking help when they are abused. Does anyone know the age of the boy. I somehow missed it in all the stories.
