Separation: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary

What is the risk of not separating?
If two unlike churches closely associate it is very likely one or the other will evolve or change to fit in with the other.

The natural tendency is to want to get along and to have common areas of agreement.

Very often when a church drastcally changes who they associate with, they are likely trying to change to be like the new group and less like the old group.

This is less of a problem when churches and groups come to gether for one common cause like a national diaster and an urban improvement project or even to help with a political campaign or to pass or block legislation. in these situations the bond is strictly the "Project" and the relationship will likely end when the project is over.

Anyone think this thread is about anything other than trying to say Christians cannot campaign for Trump?
Though it might have been obvious to some, I did not even consider that.

I thought it was a classic theological question.

No one even mentioned him until now.

Believe it or not, churches actually discussed this issue before Orange Jesus 2.0 came along.

When I vote for mayor I vote for the candidate that I think can run the city the best. I look for someone who is for lower taxes, more effecient government and less regulation. They would get very negitive points as a candidate if they were for allowing strip clubs or pawn shops in the community. I would also be against legalizing drugs or prostitution or such things.

Voting for the good Christian for Mayor has never been an option in my community.

At least we don't have to woory about either Candidate being the AntiChrist. Both are strongly disliked by well over half the population and are unpopular within their own party. Trump does show us that a populist could be very popular if he was Charsmatic and had the right personality. At the time of her death Queen Elizabeth had an approval rating close to 90%. I was thinking the other day is the AntiChrist might just be alive today.

Narendra Modi of India has a approval rating in the 80's. I beileve the antichrist will have an approval rating in the 90's and will show great leadership and bring large groups and maybe countries together after a world diaster, war or pandemic. He will be a great statesman and steadfast leader. He will show selfless strength and humility until he rises to power.

separation is one thing.... . and serves a vital purpose as far as testimony - or even survival and personal preservation is concerned.. .... but isolation is something entirely different... and what i am seeing from some who advocate greater separation is actually isolation under a different name..... ... isolation can also serve a vital purpose when it is appropriate - but in the case of trying to save a sinking ship.... or a country in danger.... it serves no purpose at all - other than to hide out and await the end.....

I do not believe God will come to the rescue and change the result of something.. (like an election).... that we had within our power to change ourselves - but refused to act or acted unwisely...... ...no other people on earth were given the power to vote and elect our leaders the way americans were..... it was a gift that should never be abused or taken for granted.... and yet it has been - and by those who should have cherished that right the most.... who claim to believe in religious freedom... .....or do they?....

Some look at Daniel 11:37 and believe he'll be gay.

There is also some speculation that he will survive an assassination attempt just before he comes to power.

Had the thread been started by anyone else, then maybe you'd have a point. Granted, I don't have a history with subllibrm, but in my experience he posts solely, as an older member said, as a Trump troll.

Orange Heysoose? You aren't being anti-immigrant are you? :ROFLMAO:

His coming will be after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, - 2 Thessalonians 2:9

He will work miracles in the likeness of calling down fire from heaven and convince men that he is God.

It will be like nothing seen in the last two millennia.

I think he will claim to be Christ. I think the church, sans the 'very elect', will see him as the second coming. It is said that he sits in the Temple, which, to me, is the church.
