A Prayer for our President
Dear God,
I know we are to pray for kings and for
all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life (1 Tim 2:1-3), but I also know how evil
Donald Trump is because he uses cuss words, is proud, boastful, and is known to be a womanizer as well as having almost no spiritual understanding just as other lost men. So I will pray that you will not bless
anything he does (for his own spiritual good) because he is lost and on the way to hell just like I used to be. But I thank you Lord that I can now judge
everything he does as I look down my
pharisaical nose at such an ungodly leader. I know it is his job to protect us and
execute wrath on evil doers because he is
ordained by You (Rom 13:1-4), but please let all the good things he has done and the numerous peace deals he has brought about since being sworn in fall apart so people will not have the false idea that God blesses evil men.
Instead of praying for our President, I want to pray for our
enemies that have sworn for the past 47 years to destroy us if they ever obtain nuclear weapons. And even though they bragged about being within a week to ten days of having
eleven nuclear bombs, we know that can’t be true because Donald Trump said it is true and risked his entire political career to prevent such a holocaust. Even though it is not the job of
government to
turn the other cheek (Matt 5:39), I will use that verse to pretend Jesus isn’t talking about
personal relationships. Another thing Lord, please let him be impeached so
J.D. Vance can come in and give me someone else to criticize. I will continue to keep my nose out of
politics by condemning those Christians who would dare involve themselves in it and the freedom You have given them to publicly support and vote for candidates they believe are best for our country, because
all of the candidates are flawed. One last thing Lord, help me to continue to be completely
neutral by never allowing anyone to know who I voted for or who I believe is worthy of their votes.
Sincerely,
Subllibrm
