For "wire fraud, false statements, and conspiracy to commit money laundering."

What's making waves on social media is that they allegedly paid off several key personnel within hate groups to continue to manufacture racism, apparently so the SPLC could justify its existence by fighting hate groups they were funding themselves. The mother of all "scratch a hate crime, find a fake hate crime" incidents.

This one is particularly interesting, from the indictment:

F-37 was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 "Unite the Right" event in Charlottesville, Virginia and attended the event at the direction of the SPLC. F-37 made racist postings under the supervision of the SPLC and helped coordinate transportation to the event for several attendees. Between 2015 and 2023, the SPLC secretly paid F-37 more than $270,000.

Right-wing hate rallies ... planned, coordinated, and attended by left-wing anti-hate groups, because the demand for racism in the United States exceeds the supply. It was an effective strategy: remember, it was Trump's "very fine people" remarks on Charlottesville, misconstrued in the media as praising the racists, that supposedly persuaded Joe Biden to run for president again--and win--in 2020.

Hey--you know who else was in Charlottesville? Yep: good ol Nazi Nick himself. Before Unite the Right, he was nobody. Now he's a Kamala Harris fangirl. Knock me over with a feather.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a biased leftie racket that was exposed as such, years ago:

"The Coalition for Jewish Values, which represents Orthodox rabbis, has stated that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Southern Poverty Law Center—both of which were listed as partnering organizations in the new White House national strategy on antisemitism—have demonstrated 'obvious anti-Jewish bias.'

"Rabbi Yaakov Menken, managing director of the Coalition for Jewish Values, told JNS that the SPLC turns a blind eye against antisemitism perpetrated by radical Islamic groups, which he said have killed more people than far-right groups on the SPLC list combined. That includes four Israelis killed on June 20 in Samaria.

"SPLC does not even list the Council on American-Islamic Relations on their hate map, despite its history of antisemitism.”

" a chorus of Jewish leaders are decrying the Southern Poverty Law Center as 'uniquely detrimental and even dangerous to the Jewish community.'. . . 'The SPLC has turned into a left-wing hatchet group, using its accumulated prestige to go after legitimate organizations and individuals.'"

Absolutely. Being a hard-left racket that declares everyone to the right of Karl Marx a "hate group" is one thing. But I think the revelation that they were fuelling the very groups they were funding came as a surprise.

No, no it’s a conspiracy. Governments don’t do stuff like that.

Reading up on the whole SPLC scandal, I came across a reminder that in the 1990s, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) was paying an informant to keep an eye on the Canadian far right. It became a national scandal when it was discovered he was so deeply embedded in the movement that he helped found the Heritage Front, which was once Canada's largest white-supremacist organization.

Meanwhile in the U.S., there was a time when the Aryan Nations may have been up to 10% federal informants. Since the various agencies didn't co-ordinate, they didn't know about each other, leading sometimes to the farcical situation where various government operatives were trying to encourage each other to do something illegal.

This ain't farfetched. History repeats itself.

Evidently the supply of racism didn’t meet the demand for racism from the Democrats on the left*.

* Democrats on the left is redundant.

Imagine having to go through life thinking you can't know what the laws of your country are because the government posts fake ones to official Web sites. :ROFLMAO:

Better yet, imagine the shame of being a family member. :ROFLMAO:
I would have punched him if he was in my family. That's just how we rednecks roll.
