Um, the Republican Party is not the government. They can use a roll of the dice, draw straws, or an ouija board if they want. If you are a Republican feel free to take it up with the party leadership. If you aren't it really isn't any of your business how they select candidates. Mr. Trump has been pushing for his candidates this primary season. He seems to be pretty successful at this point. We shall see in November if he has helped or hurt the GOP. His track record is not particularly good with choosing candidates for the general elections.
