Bill Maher is a classical liberal but unlike the radicals that have taken over the Democratic Party who can find nothing good to say about America, he appreciates what we have in comparison to so many other countries. It is hard to imagine a world without America. Hitler undoubtedly would have taken over the world had it not been for a nation called the United States of America. The march of Communism after World War II where as a system as many as 100 million people have died under it would have had very little to stop its progression without a super power to counter the conquering and enslavement of such a system around the world. In spite of all the flaws America has, it has been a beacon of hope for others around the world and that is why so many people strive to come here. Christians should pray for our leaders (including whoever the President is) and be thankful we live under a system where freedom of religion and freedom of speech is baked into the constitution.
