It’s called Indigenous Peoples' Day where I’m from.
 
Or as we like to call it up here, Thanksgiving.

(Seriously, who celebrates a harvest festival at the end of November?)

No one actually knows for certain when that feast was held, except that it was somewhere between mid-September and mid-November 1621.

Split the difference, and you're back to early- to mid-October. ;)

Everyone knows it was the 4th Thursday of November.
That’s when all the restaurants had Thanksgiving Day buffets!
Plus we needed a holiday between Halloween and Christmas, 😉
