Vivek Ramaswamy and Amy Acton are going at it with no holds barred.
Amy's own mom is speaking out against her own daughter in ads running frequently. I think it maybe going too far but Mom says daughter is unstable. What say ye? Going too far or honest ad? Should be easy to find and watch. This is our Gov race.

From what I've read:
Amy accused her stepfather of molesting her. Stepfather took off. Mother stuck with stepfather. Amy's father allegedly pushed Amy to make the accusations so he could get custody. Is the mother blinded by her love for her husband, or is she complicit? There was no trial - so who knows what the truth is.

I do know Amy pushed for things during covid shutdown that hurt the people of Ohio.

First I’ve never heard of this situation, but that’s pretty terrible. Family should just stay quiet if they don’t support their daughter’s political leanings…IMO. I don’t think Amy should be broadcasting this either though unless the guy was prosecuted and found guilty.

Is this a left vs right thing or a couple candidates riding the fence?

Gosh, the [First] Party is making attack ads using family members of the [Other] Party's candidate to attack the candidate?

Why, that's unprecedented!

Not saying it's a good idea, and indeed it probably deserves to blow up in your face. But if you're a member of the [Other] Party and you're outraged that someone would make an ad like this, maybe you should take a seat.

It's a pretty common (unfortunately) occurrence in the history of American politics. Tit for tat.

Of course, in the ad, her mom says that her daughter has lied about many other things, and some of those things I would think are more verifiable than the abuse allegations. If proof could be provided on these other issues that she’s a liar then it goes to her character.

She might be lying, who knows. Or she might be lying about A but be telling the truth about B. Either way, I think the matter should be handled privately.

I agree with you that a family’s dirty laundry ought to be handled discreetly, and in-house. Having said that, if the abuse accusation was false then it goes to her character, and if she is a manipulator and a liar that certainly has bearing up on her ability to govern.

I’m rooting for Vivek to loose. The GOP must be punished.

Vivek said, “
“that this cultural problem helps explain why major U.S. technology companies hire foreign-born and first-generation engineers instead of more native-born Americans” talking about H-1B visas.

Since this is his view maybe he should go back to Kerala where his parents are from.

Vivek needs to show America more respect. His parents came here to give themselves a better life. Because of this he was able to become a billionaire because of America not India. Where’s the respect for our country? He wants to wag his finger at us about our culture. What does it smell like in India where they’re crapping in the streets. If he believes other cultures in other countries are better, why is he here raising his two boys in America?

He’s not America first he’s
H-1B visas first. He needs to leave our country!!!

“Politico tried to play ‘gotcha’ by saying I want to gut the H1-B system even though my companies have used it to hire foreign graduates from top US universities. Well, US energy sector regulations are badly broken, but I still use water & electricity. Turns out I actually understand the things I want to reform: the foreign visa ‘lottery’ is senseless & the H1-B regime is a form of indentured servitude that’s a product of corporate lobbying. I’ll finally fix it.” Ramaswamy

And he’s not wrong about the culture of rot that honors mediocrity. I work at a government installation, I see it every stinking day.
