This is the simple Truth. Alas, some around here don't like it.

If I'm not mistaken, HSA deposits are tax deductible up to a certain annual amount. If memory serves me correctly, it was $5600/yr about 20 years ago. I used an HSA to pay all health care expenses. A bill would come in, I'd deposit the amount then turn around and write a check on the account.

The break in our federal taxes is welcome because I'm paying taxes on income to a state that I'm not even a resident of and last year, the county in which I reside doubled the assessed value of our property.
