My first memory of FBC is a very clear picture of my dad holding me in the vestibule as we looked in and watched workers press water out of the green carpet with big rollers.  It was the day after the fire and everything was wet and smokey.  I loved that old auditorium. 

Before I ever knew her name, I just thought of her as "the happy lady".  ;D

Random post:  It seems Cedarville is making big strides to the right (more conservative) while Northland is taking subtle steps the other way (as far as relaxed dress codes, etc.)  Very interesting to observe.

I'm about to be a grandma ("Mimi") for the 2nd time in September - it's great, isn't it? And yes, that's the name I meant!  I first heard it at an away basketball game when I was cheering.  Maybe there is more history than I knew!  LOL
