    Ruffles...

You're just spinning your wheels, bud. I'm on a see-food diet already... I see food, I eat it.

Are you trying to lure me into betting I can't eat just one? Are you trying to entice me to gamble!?

The Worthless Thread for Specifically Increasing Post Numbers

I told my wife, "I have the body of a Greek god!" She said, "Really? I thought Buddah was Chinese."

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

First line from the article: “If this is the same Church that traces its roots back to the Apostles,” says John Thompson, “yes, this is where all men and women belong.” I think we have established in this thread that the claim that the RCC traces it's roots to the apostles is a false claim.

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

The Missouri Synod... I was aware of this branch 30+ years ago... I often wonder if they've held true.

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

If you have listened at all to the previous Pope, you would notice a definite left leaning/all roads lead to Heaven being espoused. The current Pope is probably a little more moderate but any system that disregards or corrupts the clear teaching of Scripture as the RCC does is going to degrade...

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

The "best fit" for anyone is a church that teaches the Word of God. A church that teaches the Word ought to take you out of your comfort zone once in a while. Looking for that "best fit" carries with it a self focused priority rather than a God centered priority of seeking His word...

    The ‘sin’ of fornication.

Yup. It used to be shameful even by worldly standards. Now it's a badge of honor as you have pointed out.

    The ‘sin’ of fornication.

I don't think fornication is any more common today than it was, say, 100 years ago. The only difference is that over the past 50 years or so, people brag about it more.

I am reposting this link here because it goes so well with what you said... Was Saint Peter the first Pope? - an article from Got Questions Ministries https://www.gotquestions.org/Peter-first-pope.html

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

I'm not talking about denominations of any kind. The faithful remnant have been around through the centuries. Some may have gravitated to the groups that split from the RCC but the splinter groups don't necessarily account for all of the remnant believers. Again, I don't know how the remnant...

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

I am suggesting that there has always been a remnant. The faithful did not cease to exist after the Catholic Church came into being then came back into play with the Protestant Reformation.

Catholic vs Calvinist (if you had to choose)

Nope. Catholicism is a corruption of the Faith. Always has been. Claims that Peter was the first Pope don't hold any truth. If you read how Peter, Paul, James and Jude confronted false teachings in each of their epistles, you'll see there is no way they would have been Catholic. I don't know how...
