Just be sure, young lady, your family was missed when you all left.  Very few if anyone knew what you all were being put through as a family.  Your dad never showed it before he left!!  He's a good man for sure!!  Now your brother, ......hmmmmm.  no just kidding.  No one deserves that kind of treatment.

My brother was a hot head - and he had put up with a lot and just kind of exploded.

I never realized that no one knew why my parents really left.  Another part of the story is that my littlest brother was in 3rd grade and a teacher told a group of students not to play with him because his brother and family were "bad influences."  (This was verified by a several parents who told my mom)  My mom went up to the school and went all crazy on Keeton and Harding and the teacher.  They weren't used to this since everyone just took stuff like that.  This resulted in the next date him getting kicked out of 3rd grade.  Just another little piece of the puzzle.

And that is just scratching the surface on the craziness.

The child banishment tool was one of their favorites. There is no better way to devastate a child then have all his peers ignore him because he is a bad child.

I just wish one of these kids would come foward and press child abuse (or sexual misconduct) charges on the church/school. According to what they taught us in teachers meetings the statute of limitations for filing a charge like this is 27 years in Oklahoma. They always told the teachers to never touch a student or be alone with them for this reason.

Since the school is part of the church it would only take one former student to come forward now to drive the final nail in WHBC/S coffin.

I just wanted to pop back in here to say that I appreciate your father.  He was probably the most consistent Christian I met at OBC, and I travelled with him most of a summer.  He is a good man.

Thank you!!  Really means a lot!!  I know he really wanted to do what's right and serve The Lord.

Wish now I had stepped and said more in his defense when everything was going down.

Has something happened recently to bring this stuff up?  I don't follow WHBC news that much - last I heard, Vineyard is over in Israel doing something.

I gather that Tom Vineyard is the pastor at WHBC, and that it is a tiny shell of its former self.

To sum it up Tommy Boy was accused of inappropriate behavior by not 1 but 14 women and counting. Half the church left about two weeks ago (maybe three).

Since then his morphine addicted dad JV has sent out several emails stating that the members that left will suffer the wrath of God, their childern will get cancer, die in car accidents, they will get divorced, toss in jail etc. all because they left WHBC.

The remaining staff members have stated "We don't want to hear anything about it, we will be blessed by God for standing with our pastor" (even if he is wrong).
