A Serious Question...

Uh-huh - just as long as they didn’t dare think of putting on manly trousers to classes (didn’t matter if it was 20 degrees outside and snowing either)! https://www.liberty.edu/champion/2010/10/08/ruling-liberty-how-the-rules-have-changed-since-1971/#:~:text=Students should also realize where, the middle of the knee.
Once upon a time, this was the STAAAAAAANDEEEEEEEEEERD everywhere you went! At the public High School I went to, I was told that "Back in the day" (50s-60s) the dress and grooming standards were much more strict than in the late 70s/early 80s when I was there. The boys had to wear slacks (not jeans) and the girls had to wear knee-length dresses or skirts and that they would actually check for compliance by having girls kneel on the floor to ensure their skirts touched the ground. Remember that this is a PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL that we are talking about!

No doubt that Liberty had such standards during that time as pretty much every other Bible or "Christian" College regardless of the denomination. Back in the 90s, everyone wore a tie to the office. "Business Casual" did not become a thing until the early 2000s. Once upon a time, it was unheard of for a preacher (IFB, SBC, Presby, Charismatic, etc.) to get behind a pulpit without wearing a suit and tie.

A quick look at the current Liberty website shows ladies wearing jeans and T-Shirts so it should be obvious to all that such standards are non-existent. I hope they don't let kids run around the campus "nekkid" or wearing beach attire or whatever.

Did you attend HAC? What’s your connection?
Well, my dad moved his family their 1984. During the boom. He left the oil field, home, property everything. And went to HAC.

We went to Hammond Baptist schools, First Baptist the whole bit till about 1989. I went to Hammond Baptist grade school from kindergarten to 5th grade.

My mom doesn’t attend a IFB church but continues to believe everything they teach 😂 I make fun of her all the time. I even told her that Jack Hyles was in the Epstein files 😂 she told me to shut up and started laughing. 😂

Interesting. I didn’t know you had a connection to them.

Of course you’re correct. In an earlier post, I linked a story that said there were still public universities in conservative areas of America that made girls wear dresses all the way up into the 1960s, so it should come as no surprise that Liberty University mandated women wear dresses in the 1970s. Unfortunately, one devout fanboy refuses to acknowledge reality. Sad.

Interesting. I didn’t know you had a connection to them.
Yep. Some years back I even had someone contact me through messaging on here because I was telling stories about my time there. And he made the connection that we were there at the same time.

He made me promise not to say who he was. And of course I would never do that. It was actually nice catching up with him.

Jack Hyles certainly "Preferred" the King James back in the early 80s (1983-1984) when I first heard him but did not go off the deep-end towards the "Ruckmanite" level of KJVO nuttiness until around 1989 when the Sumner articles came out. Of course I myself was hard-core KJVO and shouting "HAAAAAYMEN" to all of his nonsense unfortunately.
That’s what I said. The school wasn’t started as KJV only. That came later.

I wasn’t the one who said this:
I discovered that Liberty University didn’t allow women to wear pants until the early 2000s

P.S. Liberty is far from perfect, but unlike Hyles Anderson, never banned women from wearing pants.

Whatever makes you feel better, Mr. Duplicity. 🙄

I think it’s admirable that you respected your husband’s wishes, even if you didn’t agree.

My mom is around 70 years old and didn’t wear pants until around 15 or 20 years ago. My parents attended BJU, so there were probably some similarities with HAC back when they attended.

I know BJU now allows women to wear pants. I’m not sure about HAC. I thought they did but I don’t know for sure because I can’t find much information online about them.
If you find information that will be a miracle they are closed lip on many issues. I don't think they do I'll believe when I see it .......

I haven’t been able to verify this, but the student in the video I linked was tagged to HAC (although perhaps erroneously).

What is HBHS?
Mr Duck, I don't think they wear pants at hac I could be wrong. But I'm waiting to see pictures in dorm, and on campus.

If HAC has changed the dress code to allow pants on females (and I assume HBHS would do the same?), I'd be interested in hearing their justification. Are they saying they were wrong and it was never a sin? Or is it still a sin but one they're ok with?
I want to hear that also.....

There are 19 other pics on their FB page that were taken yesterday. None of them lead me to believe that "the rule" has been changed.HAC Seniors 2026.jpg
