My Facebook thread has liberals accusing the “white man’s” history books for failing to mention Juneteenth... never mind that our history books addressed Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and the Emancipation Proclamation. I think our history books should include Juneteenth, but this racist divide going on is stupid.
One hour north of me was the largest massacre ever, in the US. History books never mention it. I only know about it because I am learning about and involved with Gulf Coast History.
In August 1813, Fort Mims was the site of the massacre of the Creek Indians.
