From the text of the church's facebook page, it appears that the Douglass Family are moving from Oneida.

Does anyone know any details?

Who are these people and why do we care?

Maybe HAC is going to get its new president???
(I know absolutely nothing, just thought it would make a funny speculation...)

I thought the same thing when I saw her post their home for sale on facebook.

Maybe after a year he realized things are a little more difficult when you don't have 10 staff members to hand things off to?

Has it even been one year?

On the church website, there was a Welcome event in August to welcome the new Pastor and Mrs. Douglass. So it seems they were there for four months before announcing their departure...

Is Megyn Kelly a member there?  You know she asks the tough questions.

When they moved there, they bought a $400,000 home.  It went on the market shortly after they got there.  I think they moved in there in the fall and I was wondering myself.  Didn't last long.  Are they back in Indiana?

Maybe IFB and SBC don't work out so well together.

Here are some pics and one video from their web site.

The people may not have been ready for IFB type teaching.
I don't think Dave took a close look at their web site.
This may help to explain what happened.
Video from their VBS last summer.

You would think music, version, attire and methods would have come up in the interview process.

That's  my take, but it sure looks like something went on.

There is no doubt this is not your typical IFBx or even IFB church, they seem to be very progressive.

Well, it could be that the people didn't quite meet DD's high standards...or, could it be that DD didn't meet the people's high standards?  We'll just never know, will we? I still think the Douglass' are on their way back to FBC, unless I miss my guess.

Talked to his son on Sunday and he wasn't even sure as to what they were going to do.

I knew them, but it has been over 2 decades since I last spoke to them.  If you know them personally, you might wan to reach out to them.  Could be they really need a Christian friend right now.  Even if this was brought on by themselves.

They do use the KJV on their web site with this explanation. I do not think they are really KJVO at all.

Why the King James Bible?
The KJV Bible is used in all our English services as it is not copyrighted and it is accepted by many as the best translation to date, it has also been and still is the largest selling translation of the Bible, it is also our favourite Bible. Read more at: KJV Copyright? http://www.jesusfolk.com/Bible/Verses/copyright.htm

I know them on a hello basis only. Haven't attended fbch for about three years. Their son goes to church I now attend.

FWIW, a friend who's at the FBCH marriage conference said Dave Douglass is teaching at the conference :)

I think I see Dave coming back to FBCH, my family for sure would welcome them back. He has been very helpful in the lives of some of my children and grandchildren who were very upset that he left. Maybe he can get the pastor idea out of his system now after all it is up to individual churches to find their own pastors.

Bro. Wilkerson announced publicly during the Marriage Conference he is coming back.
