Omar is grinning when she says this, and Chris Hayes, the interviewer, doesn't seem to be taking the allegation all that seriously either.

Sure, maybe Ilhan Omar is a garbage person, maybe her immigration status is questionable, and maybe, in fact, she did marry her brother (even if she denies it). But it looks to me like Fox News (and a lot of online conservatives) are missing the sarcasm and taking her too literally.

"Not to my knowledge" is the sort of snarky reply I might give if asked to respond to a ridiculous accusation.

A Congressman makes $174,000 a year. She would have to spend over $3,300 per week to have trouble making ends meet. Either Omar is one of the stupidest people alive, or she's just not very good at tugging at the heartstrings.

I think what she really meant to say was that she's living paycheck to paycheck... trying to maintain her luxurious lifestyle.
