These men have great power, often a cultic power, over the people they pastor. They use this power to manipulate and control people, especially those who are spiritually,  emotionally, and mentally vulnerable."

I agree, thirst for power and control is what it is mostly about.  That is why these preachers go balistic over someone who dares leave their fold.  They seek to destroy good people who are moving on and go about it oh so visciously.  I have watched it over and over and, as many on here, have experienced it personally.

That is what the police and sexual assualt trainers always say. It is not about sex but the power they have over someone, vulnerable people are easy targets to exert power.
