That's crazy. You can't separate the thoughts and feelings of the heart from the act itself and we are to "cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit ".  At best outward reformation could just lead to insanity or depression.  At the worst they would just go back to their sinful life.

Good point. I'm really scratching my head at this event. It's like a third way in between secular LGBT-ism and Christianity. The LGBT group sees sex as an inventible part of its identity.

The church really should stress that a Christian's identity is in Christ. Being gay is an adopted identity. Even by secular standards, most people experience opposite sex attraction on some level.

Honest question....

Does anyone deny that people are born with "same sex attraction" just like straight people are born with other perverse desires?  Even as a saved individual, I fight against sexual attraction to women who are not my wife.  However, I don't identify myself by my sinful desires.

We are all born in sin. Does that mean some are born biologically gay? I don't think so. Some may have or develop a same-sex impulse that overrides opposite sex attraction. It becomes an adopted identity when its encouraged by society.
