Free or Purchased?
Which one do you use and are you pleased with it?

I use Norton’s free ad blocker.
So far, so good but I’ve used it less than a week.

I use the AdBlock plug-in. Does a good job and really easy to disable temporarily for a site when the site detects the use of an ad-blocker.

I've been using uBlock Origin on Firefox for a few years. It kills ads dead.

Fox News and a couple of newspapers I often read online asked to be excluded so I added them to the programs unblock list.
Using your Ad Block programs, do you routinely exclude websites that ask you to?

I use the "Pause Once" feature whenever it's something I really want to read and the site won't display it until the adblocker is disabled - even on sites that I'll visit multiple times. I'm hoping that the adblocker creator will figure out a way around those things, so if I don't add to the permanent exclude list, I might be able to view the site without issue in the future.

If it's something that I need to see, I'll disable the adblocker temporarily. Otherwise, I move on. The whole point of an adblocke is to make the Web less intrusive. Blocking your site until I change a setting in my browser is not less intrusive.

I got adblock plus, can download it free. Once a year they ask for a contribution, you can say no or give them some money. I have said no but also have given them 30 to 35 dollars. It works great on facebook and youtube blocking out popup ads

i know most here will probably disagree with me.... and not too long ago i would have disagreed with myself.... ... but i have to admit... this web-site has some of the best most relevant ads i;ve ever seen anywhere...... ..... and i am someone who generally hates ads..... . all ads.... from internet pop-ups to youtube pop-ins to television ads that are absolutely obnoxios and even repulsive.... . but here i;m seeing ads for shoes ..clothes... ebay stuff... video games... books... ..stuff i actually spend time looking for online.... .. even a really awesome and elaborate sleep number bed with all kinds of gadgets and features. ....which i have never searched for online... but still find it interesting.... .... ...i would have to gut my room and rearrange it to make it fit.... so there is no way i would even try to buy it..... but it;s still cool to look at........ ......who would have imagined........

I have to admit that I checked out the advert on the campers. I liked what I saw.
i have seen a few of those too.... ..some of them look pretty ingenius in their design.... not sure what we would do with those here...surfboard and archery/hunting ads show up in the associated threads....that makes sense...... but i am also seeing ads for local real estate.. .. mostly new houses built in suddivisions on reclaimed sugar cane and pineapple fields.... ..real estate is something i never look for... but i think one of my room mates with her own computer tied into our system does..... ......very interesting....
