It’s our money. It’s not a handout, it’s our money. We work 50 plus hours a week. It’s our money. I’m not advocating for welfare. I’m advocating for the working men and women to keep our money.

To say nothing of water purification systems, microprocessors, satellite TV, the CMOS sensor in your phone camera, cochlear implants, heat-resistant materials and breathing systems used by firefighters, and common household items like cordless power tools, smoke detectors, and scratch-resistant lenses. All of which were commercialized applications of spacefaring technology, or NASA's needs were a major impetus in their development.
