Today’s the day, ALAYBOY leaves the nest. At least he’s only a couple hours away. I just keep telling myself that.☹️

That’s kind of crazy that he’s going to college today but he just got his DL permit. I got mine at 15. Maybe it’s different where you live.

He’s still dragging his feet on getting his license. I don’t understand it, but apparently it’s a thing in this digital generation.

Move-in is going pretty smoothly so far (we’re still helping in his dorm now), but ALAYWIFE almost lost it a while ago before she stoically regained her composure.

No one had the GUTS to teach me how to drive (looking back, I can't say I blame them) until I paid some driving school near my first duty station after I joined the Navy. I was 19 when I finally got my license. Three years later, I had a CDL.

Two of my nephews are in their 30s and have never driven a car.
