I've been reading (lurking?) the posts for a while and decided to join. I like the preaching at IFB churches but have problems with stuff like encouraging a kid to drop$40-50K on a "degree" that is perfect if the kid is certain that they have been called to minister in an IFB church. I had no idea what I wanted to do at 18. Also, too many "doctors" in the IFB ranks.

I think our standard for a doctorate is akin to Hyles' doctorates. Jack gave a doctorate to John R Rice's horse. Even an A$$ on this forum can get one!
