I saw a comment recently that reminded me of the ole.... "You shouldn't mix politics and religion"......

Do you know why people say these things?

It is very simple. They want to be able to vote for anyone they want to vote for regardless of morality.

Regardless of what others may say, THE DEFINING issue today in our culture is LACK of any natural morality within mankind. Paul often appealed to "nature" as present/having a self attesting sense of morality. The very idea that mankind would rationalize sin as it does today is beyond offensive to the natural order God set forth on the earth.

You can't separate politics and religion and every single moral person in this country should seek to influence their surroundings through their politic process. I'm not saying to break the law. I'm not saying to be offensive, yet you can vote, You can speak out. You can challenge others concerning their morality. Which should always begin and end with Jesus.

Yeah, the whole "You have heard it said . . . but I say unto you . . ." schtick has been done. Better.

Sure has.

Mat 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

You've never been afraid to call your brother in Christ a fool/moron.

Yeah, you're such a martyr.
Not trying to be a martyr. Jesus said he didn't like it. You might want to consider that part.

I once took pride in doing the same thing. Did you know the very person that "coined" the English word moron took it from the very ancient Greek word you read in Matthew 5:22?

Whoops. I didn't mean to distract you from explaining to us how you'd have done so much better as the head of the church.

Jesus is the head of the church. Not me. I just referenced what He said. Does that offend you?

Good. Let's hear more of his opinions of how churches should organize and proclaim the Gospel, and less of yours.

Did you not read what he said? I quoted what he said. It appears you don't care what Jesus said.

Anyone can read it an ask you why you don't like what Jesus said. That doesn't mean they're trying to organize anything. I know you don't want to admit your mistake but you should.

Back to the OP.....

Jesus was never afraid of dealing with politics.

Mar 3:24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

I believe what Jesus said.

Did you post on what Jesus said about churches and politics?

No, I didn't think so. So my point stands. More of his opinion of church and politics, and less of yours.

But you do enjoy waggling Jesus at your inferiors, don't you, Church Lady?

You didn't reply to this thread to talk about the OP. Don't pretend you did. I did post what Jesus said, read it again. I try to treat everyone the same and you have a hard time finding an equal.
