Update on Tim Lee He had a MRI at 3 am this morning and was moved to the stroke center. The doctor confirmed this morning that it WASN?T a mini stroke (TIA). It was a stroke, but not severe. His white blood cell count is elevated which indicates infection. They are about to do X-rays to see if he has pneumonia. There wasn?t blockage in the brain, so the stroke was a result of something else. They are doing an EKG now and possibly additional heart tests. He won?t be released anytime soon. He had a hard time getting comfortable and resting last night. Please keep praying!
Tim was released from the hospital today. We have made it back to Dallas and will follow up with doctors here. We had excellent care at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
We are so thankful for Pastor Todd Wright and the awesome people at Midway Baptist Church. When Tim had his stroke while he was finishing his sermon in their first morning Sunday service. These fine people sprung into action and went above and beyond.
Our awesome friends at Liberty University sent their private plane to get us back to Dallas. We are super grateful for this and their giving spirit. Tim is obviously no stranger to flying but flying commercial today would not have been easy.
Tim is very weak. He has pneumonia. The doctors at Grady did say that sometimes an infection like pneumonia can cause an imbalance of the system and could have caused the stroke. However, like already said, we will follow up with doctors here in Dallas and make sure it?s nothing else.
