Best not all things are "pre appointed" by God.

Why stop with prayer? Why bother to get up in the morning and go to work? Why decide between a tuna sandwich or an egg sandwich for lunch? If all things are predestined, it doesn't really matter what you do or decide. You'll get what's coming to you either way, right?

Of course not. Even when we accept the fact that God has predestined all things, we don't spend our lives sitting on the edge of our beds, second-guessing what God might have in store. We get up, we go about our business, and we let Providence work itself out.

Question for you: if all things are predestined by God, then aren't your prayers predestined by God also? If God has predestined that you pray, has he not predestined also that your prayers will be answered? If it's your destiny to pray, go ahead and pray.

Because prayer isn't about changing God but about changing us.

Because God knows and we don't!

Why put G-D instead of writing God?
I believe its a Jewish thing.....

The best I can understand it......its that they feel that even writing the name God is something they are not worthy of....but don't quote me on it....its a complicated matter
