i posted a video about this u.s. navy pilot from the korean war a couple of weeks ago.... his story
was declassified in 1992 after the fall of the soviet union... but had to be kept secret for decades

Navy pilot who shot down 4 Soviet fighter jets during Korean War to receive Medal of Honor
On Nov. 18, 1952, Royce Williams was piloting an F9F-5 Panther when he encountered seven Soviet MiG-15s. He shot down four of the fighters.
