Even though I griped, (I eventually pulled my head out and realized how good I had it), Life in the military was good while Reagan and Bush were commander in chief. When Clinton took over, it went downhill fast. At least, to his credit, Clinton soon realized that the military is no place for social experimentation. Can't say the same about Obama/Biden. I used to say it was a good idea for a young man (or woman) to go into the military. Anymore, I'm reticent to say such a thing because of the cesspool of social experimentation the military has become.
Seriously, how can we expect our military to be up to task against third world terrorists, let alone China if our military is recruiting individuals who don't even know what head or berthing compartment they want to use?
