The Sin of Sodom

A man by the name of Ron Wyatt discovered these two ancient cities and their plain in 1989. Now here are some of the photos that were taken of modern day Sodom and Gomorrah and their layer of ash that is still around today:

And here is a piece of sulfur being held. Real and tangible scientific evidence bearing witness to the testimony and truth of the Holy Bible:

Sins, plural. There wasn't just one particular sin. Those two cities were sinful in many ways, if the major OT prophets are telling the truth (and I dare anyone on this forum to say they weren't).

And no, I didn't and won't watch the videos. I won't give a KJVO heretic cultist an hour of my time.

Izdaari, you should watch the video to find out exactly what brother Bryan Denlinger was teaching in his sermon.

Now before you call us King James Bible believers a cult, read this good article that brother Will Kinney wrote on the Bible Version Issue titled: Is King James Onlyism Scriptural?

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. - Genesis 18:16-21 (KJV)

6 For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her. - Lamentations 4:6 (KJV)

No. It is a video sermon where brother Bryan Denlinger preached on the subject of the Sin of Sodom.

Don't you think it would be more effective if it were an animated documentary?

No. I think it is fine just the way it is.

I think these days; because a lot of Christians do not read their Bibles, they get confused as to whether Sodomy is acceptable or not.

Now of course Sodomy is never acceptable. It is an abomination. It is a very grievous sin.

But with all the Sodomite friendly churches that are out there. If Christians do not stay rooted and grounded in the word of God, then they will begin to be deceived by thinking that it is okay just because a lot of the denominations are now ordaining sodomite pastors.

I gave him a few minutes on a previous video. If he seemed reasonable, I would've kept going. I quit because he seemed like a wacko. It's possible I might be persuaded to give him another try, but only a few minutes, unless he starts making sense at some point.

And I'm very familiar with Will Kinney's arguments on the subject from the old FFF. IMO, they are -- at least to me -- exceedingly unpersuasive. But Will does seem like a nice guy, if a bit of a broken record.

Yes, I know these Scriptures. Do you know this one?

Ezekiel 16:48-50
King James Version (KJV)

48 As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

What do you think this passage says about the condemnation of Sodom?  Specifically, do you think that this passage somehow negates that the passage about Lot and the angels is a condemnation of sexual perversion?

Okay Izdaari, well that is a start. At least watch more of the video. I am assuring you that brother Bryan Denlinger came out with this video sermon because he truly cares about the lost people out there who have been ensnared by the vile sin and lifestyle of sodomy.

Now here is also what you should know Izdaari. Brother Bryan Denlinger came out with a second video sermon on this series which he did on this subject. Here is the second video.

Victory Over The Sin Of Sodomy

It takes true love and concern to warn those who are headed for Hell. You have to call out their sin and simply tell them that they need to repent and get saved.

Izdaari, Will Kinney documents his work. And he is very detailed about the points which he makes on the Bible Version Issue. Have you watched any of his videos? If you have not, definitely encourage you to check them out. He is very reasonable and fair. All he does is show what the facts are. No mean spirit about him. He just wants to get the truth out. And help other Christians out there, to help them to believe the word of God and to have confidence in it.

Yes I do ma'am :)

It is interesting, that passage of Scripture that you shared describes America to a T.

A lot of Americans are proud, arrogant, haughty, we have fulness of bread here, tons of restaurants all over the place, and Americans definitely have an abundance of idleness! Video games, helliwood movies, TV sitcoms, reality shows, 24-7 Sports channels, the distractions are just too many.

It seems that whenever a nation gets very wealthy and when things are going well economically speaking, that that same nation begins to forget God. And that is very dangerous because we know what happens to nations that forget God:

17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. - Psalm 9:17 (KJV)

Did you know that Jack Schaap used to mention and or preach against "fornication" every sermon? Just sayin!

She has already addressed this. She stated that homosexuality was not the only sin of Sodom. These are the verses she is using to prove her point.

Well, I just want to hear her own affirmation that the Lot passage is indeed about a condemnation of sexual perversion, because many liberal folk talk about the sin(s) of Sodom being things like a lack of hospitality, and in doing so, they resort to the passage she quoted as proof that the sin being condemned wasn't sodomy because if it was then the Ezekial passage would have not left it out.
