Because I learned that the pulpit has the purpose of whipping and crucifing people you dont agree with, and the only way to help them grow is to belittle, embarass, and ridicule.

I choose Christianity LIGHT any day.  I had years of that heavy handed, manipulative, controlling, I could never be right with God, (etc) type Christianity that I have long since found is not Scriptural.
