Yep. That's old "Ted's" real name.

Rafael Edward Cruz......

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/03/28/trump_cnonfidant_roger_stone_drops_bombshell_after_bombshell_about_cruz_sex_scandal_if_its_not_true_sue_me_immediately.html

He?s a lawyer himself," he said, "so why won?t he sue? It won?t cost him anything. To be absolutely clear ? Cruz won?t sue because the allegations are largely true."

Basics:

-- "The Rubio campaign elected not to use this information, but they kept it as a hedge about some of the allegations about Rubio's personal life."

-- "Cruz holds himself out as a moral exemplar, and I think it is the hypocrisy that once again is problematic here. Where's his lawsuit? Where's his $100 million lawsuit against the National Enquirer..."

-- "This is very much like the John Edwards case, when the Washington Post, who is chasing this story, or the AP, who is chasing the story. The dirty little secret here is this isn't just the National Enquirer, this is major media organizations. Every major media organization in the country is pursuing this story. And they are well familiar with the names."

-- "And you have to wonder whether these women, one of whom worked for the Carly Fiorina campaign and then shortly thereafter Ted Cruz pays Carly half a million dollars. Ted despises Carly, and Carly despises Ted. What is the $500,000 for? Can you say hush money?"

-- "Maybe Donald Trump is talking about Heidi's mental breakdown, and the fact that she was found by the local police wandering and disoriented, and she was deemed to be a threat to herself."

-- "Heidi with her husband posing as a conservative Republican was a top aide to Condoleezza Rice at the National Security Council prior to going to the U.S. Trade Rep's office where she was a top aide for Robert Zelick, who took her to Goldman Sachs -- You remember who they are? The bank you and I bailed out.-- Goldman then subsequently gave a million dollar illegal sweetheart deal to the Cruz campaign, which he lied about."

Shocking!

Oh, wait, lots of people go by their middle names, and "Ted" is a common diminutive of Edward.

Also, how do you know he has no plans to sue? It's been what, two or three business days since the Enquirer dropped its story?

I go by my middle name as well.... Never said anything against it.

I do know that Ed, Ned or Eddy.... is more common than Ted from Edward. Just making the legal distinction. Maybe Canada has different laws. Would a "nickname" be considered a legal name in Canada? He was born there...

He's falsely accused Trump of the story. The story came from Rubio's campaign. Its been around for some time.

"Ted' can sure falsely blame Trump for the story "in short order". Looks like he could threaten legal action rather quickly. "Ted" is suppose to be a tremendous lawyer. He can spend a couple minutes on this "open and shut" case.

Sorry but the innuendo of this thread sounds more like a National Enquirer article, than Christian people waiting for the truth to come out...not sure this is an approach we should be taking.  JMO

I've all but totally lost interest in the election.  Hillary belongs in jail, but government corruption runs so deep, that will probably never happen, and she'll run.  And if she runs, she may win.  I'll vote, but that's just because I think we should do our part.

However, I lean toward Erick Erickson's view regarding the 2012 election (quoted from a quote on Hotair):

My world view is pretty simple. I think this world is destined to go to hell in a hand basket by design. I think things are supposed to go to pot. So if Barack Obama wins, I won?t be upset. If Mitt Romney wins, I won?t be running through the streets cheering. I think, either way, it is all part of the design. The world is going down hill. Barack Obama re-elected just gets us down the slippery slope faster in my view. For others, it is Mitt Romney who does.

God is sovereign and He is in charge and He will return. That is my hope and my ever present expectation.

We often get so wrapped up in the view of things at ground level, we forget to look at the world from 50,000 feet. In the historic, grand scheme of things, this too will end.

That's what the democrats said about John Edwards.....

"Edward" didn't wait to find out the truth of whether Trump influenced the story or not. I imagine you'd have the same advice for "Ted"?

There's a report out today that say there are 147 FBI agents working the Hillary case.

Well, consider the source (and I don't necessarily mean the National Enquirer).

Somehow, they neglected to include "Proof by Personal Ignorance" in my logic textbooks.

You said... Ted" is a common diminutive of Edward.

"Ted" is more commonly derived from other names.

Your logic textbooks can't help you. You make silly logic mistakes all the time.

This from the guy who's loves to say "I don't know what you're talking about"!!!

You're not an angel Scott....

I always thought "Ted" was short for "Theodore".  Shows how much I know (or care) about such things.

I'm not talking to Ted or to Donald...as far as I know neither are on this forum...I talking about we sounding like the National Enquirer, hardly appropriate.

I believe it works for that too...but I know you remember the most famous (or infamous) "Ted"  Edward Kennedy...of course there was a "Ted" I admired greatly, Theodore Roosevelt... :)

I just posted an opinion and asked a simple logical question. I don't care what the National Enquirer has to say.

Everyone wants to bash Trump on how he does.... or doesn't.... respond to controversies. I think its fair to do the same to "Edward".

"Edward" should have disavowed the "slut shaming" of Trump's wife. He didn't. He refused to. Why the double standard?

Carry on brother...I am so past the juvenile behavior of both these men.  It really frightens me to consider the four people we have left & that one of them will be the next President...any of them, I don't defend a one of them.  This country is in trouble!

I went to school with a kid who's given name was Eldon Vernon W***** JR

Everyone called him Lee.

When you sue you open yourself up to discovery by the defendants lawyers.

That can be more dangerous than most anything else that might happen in an actual trial.

If you aren't 100% squeaky clean you may be asked about something you have forgotten and find yourself in an unwinnable situation.

Don't sue if you're not ready to have your life opened up and laid bare.

My name is "Barry" and you can see all of my nicknames in my signature line :D Carry on!

Besides... With only 7 months of campaigning left, I wouldn't lose traction to start a lawsuit.
