Where do go if I leave the IFB movement?

I have my issues with IFB and agree with you to an extent on some of their issues. However, I would take the worst of the Hyles type IFB over a Treasure type church that spends their time and energy focusing on gnats. Of course there are churches that Baptize people and if those churches choose to call themselves Baptist to recognize they baptize what Scripture are you going to try to twist to claim it should not be?

So you finally draw the line. I knew it was there. Just a matter of time.

So you worshipped Hyles did you?

Gnats? I mentioned much more than gnats. Hyles was a shyster. I see you take pleasure in the worst sort.....

Paul wouldn't let his disciples call themselves after him....... Why would you want such from your leaders?

1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

I suppose the Scriptures don't matter to you. After all, you don't really know them unless your pastor mentions them to you.

I'm not a Greek student.

Fortunately, "the" (which you keep appealing to) is not a Greek word.

The definitely article translated "the" is. How about that word?

Why did you dropped your attempt at a meaningless distinction?

Title. You trying to make a meaningless distinction between the two?
John was titled "the Baptist" because he baptized people. Baptists are called "Baptist" because they baptize people.

The distinction between a name/title and a description isn't meaningless.

No. That is not true. Many people baptizee people and have no desire to be called a "baptist". Plus, you must of never heard of the Three B's nonsense they teach. By the way... none of the three Bs is baptize.

Roger Williams? Say it ain't so!!!

Surely you're not hooked up with him?

John never wanted you calling yourself after him.

Why don't you believe the Scriptures? Do you even know what the definitive article is?

I believe the Scriptures, particularly the notion of the priesthood of the believer. Ironically, a distinctively Baptist principle.

You are just simply crazy, there can be no other explanation. I used a Hyles type IFB because I consider it the most extreme. But, I would still rather be part of that than part of a church that would argue over something as insignificant as to whether a church that baptizes people should be able to call themselves baptists.

Not surprisingly, it means "the," and presumably, like its English synonym, denotes specificity, not only exclusivity.

No. It can indicate exclusivity based on context. Like when it is used to Title Jesus.

I suppose you have no problem with being called Christ?

Another lie. You don't believe in the priesthood of the believer. You report to your pastor. He is part of your hierarchy.

Do you believe what Paul wrote in

1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

Do you think he wrote this for nothing? It is clear you don't believe what the apostle Paul wrote.

Lol, thanks for the laughs.

Now go take your meds and try not to listen to the voices.🤪😘

I don't have any clue about what you mean. Try and be specific.😘

Do you believe your pastor should rule over you?

If you do, then don't tell you believe in the individual priesthood of the believer.

So you know more about Alayman's church and beliefs than he does now?

By the way, I see you don't like

1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

Does your Bible have that verse or are you going to take it out of your version?

Or maybe pretend its not there since your pastor doesn't preach from it. Have any of your pastors ever preached from it? They tend to avoid such verses because it undermines what they teach. You know... people like Hyles.

What do you think "rule over" means? And whatever you think it means how does that relate to "reporting" to him?

So you don't have a dictionary for the English word "rule"? I'll accept any reputable definition for rule. Take your pick.

When you're ruled... you have someone to report to. You know you do.

He's shared them so many times.... I know them as g

Ya, well I'm not a Hyles supporter in anyway-so not sure what you are going on about.
