I live in WV. Meth kind of has a following here. I think I would be hesitant to agree that the vaccine is the most deadly toxin ever injected into human beings. Your right the article I grabbed was reporting in IL. Below is the official count as of May 24.

First, testing of scientific representative samples of the population needs to be performed to accurately estimate just how much of the population has actually been exposed. (That was never done, btw, in the U.S. with this outbreak.) And then the number of casualties, which is easy to see because those are the cases in which people are seeking treatment, needs to be compared. It's really the rate of hospitalization and death that counts.

I agree with you on the lockdowns. Health wise they were probably at least as damaging as COVID. However, since the vaccine is here and it seems to work remarkably well, I found it to be a worthwhile risk. None of the horror stories have come to be as of yet. And on a side note if all of us vaccinated to drop dead in the next 12 months or so, look at the opportunities available to those who chose not to vaccinate. You can remake the world vaccine free.

I don't have a problem with vaccine hesitancy. I was too. I was eligible n January but didn't take it until April. After a few months of data it seems quite effective (a year if you count clinical trials). You can try to twist the data as you like but I know of many who have contracted COVID in my area. I can probably come up with 8-10 people I know of in my community who died from it. No one from either of those groups were vaccinated. In other words the data seems to follow what I see in real life. When I was on the fence, I found that most of those vocal in their opposition to the vaccine were willing to make any weak argument to make their case (Fauci & Bill Gates were roommates). Much of the anti covid vaccine resistance also comes from the anti-vax in general crowd. A friend of mine who refuses to take it told me he also refused to have his son take any of the childhood vaccines. By the way he is still working on proving that Obama was born in Kenya as well.
But surely this is an unfair comparison... the vaccine wasn't generally available for many, many months after COVID was around. This number would be more useful if it was deaths since (say) March 2021.
