Yes. Also, all you’ve done is deflect, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got you pegged. You're deflecting. My question was about Christ's words. Did He speak the truth or not?

Happy you think so. Would you care to comment on Joshua 10:12?Yes. Also, all you’ve done is deflect, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got you pegged.![]()
Are you really sure you want to get into the the philosophy of science? We can spend hours doing this and it will only result in what Aristotle called the “unmoved mover.”And just to lay some ground work, the history of cosmology is Geocentricity, to Heliocentricity, to Relativity. Relativity placed Copernicus and Ptolemy on equal ground. Scientifically, one was not more right than the other.
There's nothing to get into, except to recognize one's misconceptions about reality, and to concede to what we're being told in the Scriptures. Are you really sure you want to get into the the philosophy of science? What about the verse??Happy you think so. Would you care to comment on Joshua 10:12?
Well, Aristotle wasn’t a Christian, but he recognized Christian truths such as the existence of one God.There's nothing to get into, except to recognize one's misconceptions about reality, and to concede to what we're being told in the Scriptures.
We're told God stopped the sun and the moon. Tell me what really happened. What about the verse??
As did Plato.Well, Aristotle wasn’t a Christian, but he recognized Christian truths such as the existence of one God.
In modern day we’d call that an annular eclipse. Anything else??We're told God stopped the sun and the moon. Tell me what really happened.
Christ was still going to speak in the terminology of the day/known science of the day. Why do you think he used parables?Christ wasn't describing an act of nature like we do, thinking, albeit not intentionally, that God isn't active in the rising of the sun or in the falling of rain. He is saying His Father is active and present in those things, and is doing something.
So the statement isn't about the sun or the rain, it's about God.
So where Christ said God is moving the sun, He really meant God is turning the earth. Is that what you're saying?
Maybe you should concede now then. In a battle of wits, you're lacking. There's nothing to get into, except to recognize one's misconceptions about reality, and to concede to what we're being told in the Scriptures.
Are you still smarting from the spanking you got in the other thread?Maybe you should concede now then. In a battle of wits, you're lacking.
We're told they were stopped for about day. You're saying that really didn't happen?I

Wow, I knew I was in your dreams....but, you're into spanking, too??? What a perv! Are you still smarting from the spanking you got in the other thread?![]()
It would work whether the sun stopped or the Earth stopped. Either way, something happened. We're told they were stopped for about day. You're saying that really didn't happen?
He told us why He spoke in parables: to hide his teaching from the non-elect so they would remain unconverted. Haven't you read?Christ was still going to speak in the terminology of the day/known science of the day. Why do you think he used parables?
So you don't really agree with Huk, that it was an eclipse. What about stopping the moon? Did they just happen to get that one right? It would work whether the sun stopped or the Earth stopped. Either way, something happened.
Yet in Christ's statement, God is the active agent. He is telling us about a work of His Father.
Which is easier to say, God makes His world to turn, or makes His sun to rise?
