Book of Job

I think your experience is most likely the main way that people receive teaching on Job, learning through his suffering and perseverance. I’ve never heard a message preached upon his repentance. And I’m not trying to toot my own horn here, but I have taught from Job on the concept that Job was potentially presumptuous in questioning God’s allowance of tragedy in his life.
You should definitely listen to McGee's teaching. 🤯

It has been a long time, but when I first discovered digital media on portable Sirius/XM satellite radio McGee was one of my daily go to sources for fundamental, but not funnymental teaching, along with Adrian Rogers. Hook me up with the specific link that you are referring to regarding repentance and I’ll give it a listen.

There is not simply one study... it's his whole series on the book.

I'm not sure how you find a specific teaching on the TTB website but there are a whole host of resources on the linked page.

As for me, I downloaded the TTB app for Android on Google Play. The app is very intuitively laid out. Go to his studies on Job. The WHOLE series of 23 messages is worth your while, but pay particular attention to the studies at chapter 20 and following to get a taste of what I'm talking about.

Along with my daily reading, these studies give me pause to slow down and absorb what I am reading. In fact, I'm being instructed right now along the same lines as Job was... it's very 'umbling as Dr. McGee would say.

I've wondered from time to time how difficult it would be to make Job into a stage play. It's all dialogue and would require minimal sets or costuming.

Also, unlike that Beckett play, Godot ultimately shows up and gives everyone a piece of his mind.
Can't be any more wordy than Othello...

I am currently reading through the book of Job. I've noticed something about the exchange between Job and his three "friends". There is a lot of high sounding piety coming from the friends and a lot of bitterness and frustration along with sarcasm in return from Job. Seriously, the exchanges between them are not unlike many of the exchanges on this forum! 😁🤣
The arguments ended, when God was believed at His Word...
