The Democrats have catered to the Muslims for quite a few years, and the Muslims have reciprocated by voting Democrat. I’ve never understood either given the human rights abuses in many Muslim countries, nor the liberal social standards of Democrats in this country. In some Muslim-dominated countries, they literally throw gay people off roofs and stone women. As they say, “politics makes strange bed fellows.”
But according to many sources, he was in the closet, including his wife who said she was unsure of his sexual orientation. What is factual is he frequented gay nightclubs. I don’t know any straight guys who like kicking back cold ones in gay bars. The media really tried hard to keep those inconvenient facts hidden.

That LA Times article mentioned that he was allied with a number of terrorist factions that are opposed to each other. I don't think the guy knew where he stood which is not surprising because fanatics seldom do. Wouldn't be much of a stretch to believe a touch of mental illness played into the situation as well. Add to that, he was observed drinking (verboten for muslims) at the club lends to the conviction he was a teeming mess of contradictory desires... Yeah, the guy was a hot mess.
Seems he was conflicted between his own gay inclinations (via the gay bars and dating apps) and his fundamental Islamic upbringing.
