Is a New Gospel Being Preached on the Baptist Board?

They've gone off the rails, big time. And there are only two moderators, one is a theologically uneducated woman, and a guy who believes in a weird version of the Atonement.
 
I forgot my password and no longer have access to the email address I first signed up with. Tried to re-register but completely unresponsive so I guess I am banned for life?

I guess Dr. Bob doesn't spend any time over there so things have gone down hill?
 
I don't think Dr. Bob is very active there, and since Dr. Cassidy's passing, there is little to check the heavy-handed manner in which the liberal theology is being pushed and dissent is quashed.

Dr. Bob did chime in once when someone tried to say MacArthur was denying the blood of Jesus.
 
Maybe they need to come back to join us on the Fundamental Forums. After all, we’re the OG of the forums. 😎

I miss Dr. Cassidy! Great guy! I met him in the OC for lunch along with a few other FFFers before leaving California and moving back to Texas. We hung out at Saddleback Church where one of the FFFers was attending at the time and before Rick Warren really went off the rails and got (rightfully) kicked out of the SBC.

Doc Cassidy would thump you really good if you were wonky on your doctrine! He was somewhat of a "Landmarker" though and therefore "Local Church Only" but I did learn a lot from him.

I joined the Baptist Boards forum using the moniker I use here and Dr. Bob said I wasn't a "real" Baptist and relegated me to a part of the forum where "non-Baptists" were allowed. All because I was attending a non-denominational Church at the time.
 
I joined the BB in 2000. It was owned by someone of Ukranian descent, I believe. (Pretty sure he was slavic, anyway.) It's changed hands a couple times, but it's basically had the same group of administrators, who for the most part were very clannish. I think Dr. Bob and Squire Robertson are the only remaining of the original. Tom Cassidy quickly rose in the ranks, but not till after a row with one of the more headstrong, lol.

Long story short, civility, as they defined the term and as the definition there has morphed over time, is the key 'Christian virtue.' It is now 'unchristian' to refer to Biden as Obiden, or to even suggest that he is not the duly elected President. So hawkish on this, that one moderator thought he could simply edit another's post and politically sanitize it, and even change the meanings, without `noting the edits and making it seem they were the poster's original words.

So controlling of the content, some posts just disappear.

He thinks his moderatorship extends to even other forums, where if he even just gets a report of some 'uncouth' action of a member somewhere else, he can take action with them on the BB.


It's very cult-like now.

Sounds like people with a lot of time on their hands.
 
This is how Isaiah 53:4-8 is to be understood according to their new gospel.

[4] Surely he endured the same injustices and discomforts common to man, yet we thought he was the one being punished by God in doing so.

[5] But the suffering in this world is due to our transgressions, and we're healed by his martyrdom.

[6-8] All we, like sheep, have gone astray. We all do our own thing, and Yahweh made him the target of our hostility and oppression. Because we are transgressors, we struck an innocent man.
