I would say he's a "cultural Christian": affliliated with a denomination (Presbyterian), but not showing any overt evidence of regeneration or more than a superficial understanding of the faith; remember that time he said he'd never sought repentance for his sins?

I had said around 10 years ago that I thought Barack Obama was the most outwardly secular president in my lifetime (going back to Nixon; Carter, if I was actually old enough to pay attention). Today, I'd say that was Trump. Obama at least implied that the church he attended, liberal as it was, was important to him.
 
he has been the best friend to christians there has been in the white for a long time.... and the only one in my lifetime... ... if he is not saved then hopefully the christians that work with him and around him can witness to him and lead him to making a decision for Christ in the future....... ....(and yes i already know the way i worded that won;t be acceptable to the more persnickity members of the forum.... but you know what i mean...)

Trump’s appeal is his verbiage and his policies are much more friendly to ‘Christian positions’ than any current Democrat.

I think Bill Clinton used his religion in a similar way.

Which in itself isn't a bad thing. If you can't have a regenerate ruler, then at least pray for one that will stay out of the way, leave Christians alone, and let the church be the church (1 Tim. 1:1-2).

Clinton also struck me as a "cultural Christian": someone who grew up in church and enjoyed the traditions and connections, but had no particular use for righteousness.

It stopped being about Hamas a long time ago, and is about ethnic cleansing. But, hey, this is God's miraculous restoral of Israel. Don't you know the Jews are the true owners of that land?

I agree. The best since Reagan anyway. This is the best we could hope for IMO.

As Ransom says, he is one who will stay out of the way and will let the Church be the Church. The Church in turn needs to stay away from the politics and actually be the church!

I pray for his salvation! According to my understanding, he is Presbyterian but likely of the liberal PCUSA variety and like so many other nominal "christians," they point to their cultural upbringing and traditions. I am not certain and perhaps others could elaborate but it seems like a matter of getting all the religious "boxes" checked (baptized, membership, tithing, attendance. confirmation, etc.) which is the case of any religious denomination including (perhaps especially) Baptists. Presbyterians baptize babies of adults who are believers placing them "in the covenant" but is not salvific. I would guess that many would just presume to be of the elect since they are "in the covenant" so to say and this results in a largely unregenerate membership that ultimately slides into liberalism and apostacy. Good Presby preachers (RC Sproul, D James Kennedy, Etc.) make it quite clear that a man must come to repentance and faith and to "make his calling and election sure!"

I would really like to President Trump have a really good sit down conversation with John MacArthur or perhaps Ray Comfort.

I don’t k ow what God thinks but I’d guess he’s pleased at getting that land back to Israel at all cost including murdering little babies and make orphans.

Id guess he doesn’t like that either. But let’s not pretend that Israel doesn’t bomb them out of the nowhere. And Palestine would do what anyone would and that’s do what they did.

It’s kinda like if I had a house that was passed down to me over 4-5 generations and the military says, you must leave this is so and so’s house now. At that point I blow it up and say, nope no one lives in it.

And people then say, hey that’s a bit much isn’t it????

I don't know for a fact that Israel does bomb them out of nowhere.

"Palestine" attacks Israel because its elected government since about 2006 is Hamas, a radical Muslim faction whose charter calls for the eradication of Israel and Jews. The Israelis have every moral right to defend themselves against attacks from any surrounding Muslim territory.

After Israeli withdrawal in 2005, the Gaza Strip has been under the control of Hamas, which is an Iran backed terrorist organization. They violently ousted the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority in 2007.
Hamas has launched several significant attacks against Israel from Gaza, including in 2008, 2009, 2014, 2021, and, of course, on October 7, 2023.

Hamas terrorists murdered over 1,400 Israelis, wounded over 5,400, taken over 243 hostages, and launched thousands of rockets. I

If Israel’s goal is ethnic cleansing, they’re inept at it. The population has grown greatly over this past decade.

Israel has a policy of warning civilians before attacking, making phone calls to residents and dropping lead and leaflets on buildings to warn of impending missile strikes. In the current conflict, Israel has warned Gazans to evacuate ahead of air strikes.

Including pedestrians? Babies? Children? Why is this acceptable?

I understand the common answer is, blame Hamas. Ok they are to blame…fine….good. This still doesn’t make it ok to kill children.

Yes I understand Hamas is hiding in schools. Why is this acceptable to blow up a school with children in it?

Iseral is in charge of import export of goods entering Gaza. They’ve been starving these innocent people for many years. It’s a fact that Israel does send bombs over there.

If Russia were to give warning to the Ukraines before dropping bombs would we say about Putin, well done good sir.

According to you, Hamas uses civilian buildings as a base of operations and uses children as human shields.

In what other conflict is one side required to provide food and supplies to the other side?

Plenty of humanitarian aid has gone to Gaza. What did Hamas do with it?
