Yes. That is a result of saltwater duck hunting. That is my original double barrel. (I had a pump action prior.) I’m very bad at cleaning my shotgun, but my newer shotgun has a rust/corrosion coating on it. In theory, it’s not supposed to rust, but it will eventually. I’ve started phasing out saltwater duck hunting in favor of freshwater only, the rust is one of several reasons why.
