I shoot with a full frame (35mm equivalent) digital camera, a Canon EOS 6D (semipro). But I use L-series (pro) lenses most of the time. This one was taken with the Canon 70-200 f2.8 L. I shoot in RAW format, which is neither B/W nor color. It simply captures all the data coming through the lens. I often process in monochrome, especially when color would add no interest, or, worse, detract from the aesthetic value of the image. Are you using a filter or actual black & white film?
When I was living in the Santa Clarita Valley in California, I'd see trails just like this from launches at Vandenberg AFB about 90 miles to the west. Pretty coolInteresting story behind this picture. Back in 2019, I was duck hunting early in the morning on Lake Okahumpka in North Central Florida when the mostly dark sky suddenly lit up with this bright streak. It actually startled me a little bit. I found out later that I was looking at space rocket about 100 miles away zooming by. https://blogs.nasa.gov/commercialcr...ad-with-boeings-cst-100-starliner-spacecraft/

If weather conditions are favorable, you can see the rocket trail live from the opposite coast in Florida. When I was living in the Santa Clarita Valley in California, I'd see trails just like this from launches at Vandenberg AFB about 90 miles to the west. Pretty cool.
