The "best fit" for anyone is a church that teaches the Word of God. A church that teaches the Word ought to take you out of your comfort zone once in a while. Looking for that "best fit" carries with it a self focused priority rather than a God centered priority of seeking His word.Thank you all for your responses. I’m going to continue attending my Baptist church for now. I’m not going to rush into any decision. I’m going to take a couple of years to research the issue. I have a friend who is a Christian theology professor (different state). He has told me in the past that the best fit for me might be a Lutheran church. (He’s actually a Presbyterian, so he has no dog in the fight, although he’d probably not be very pro-Catholic.)
Lutheranism, as are most "mainline" denominations, is fraught with liberal lunacy anymore.
