Dodgers Christian Baseball Star vs Pride Hat

Forcing straight players to wear "pride themed" logos is akin to forcing black players to wearing the "stars and bars".

"He should stick to sports" says one person.

To which I say AMEN!!! Perhaps all of MLB should just stick to sports and stop obsessing over who someone goes to bed with!

If the MLB would just stick to sports, this Dodgers player wouldn't have had opportunity to stick a Bible verse on his "rainbow" hat and offend all the fruitcakes!!!

Just saying.

Amazing what passes off as logic these days.

'What a disappointment,' concluded another.

While one simply posted: 'he should stick to sports'.

Good advice. Maybe the sports leagues should take it rather than promoting the secular religion.

As an old school baseball/Reds fan I have a hard time saying anything good about the Dodgers, but much love and respect to Kershaw here.

The whole logo thing makes me ashamed to be a Dodgers fan... But this stuff is endemic to US sports.

I've been a die hard Dodgers fan ever since I attended my first game at Dodger Stadium as a young child. I was glued to the set in '77 and '78 when my heart was broken by Yankee bats... I cheered wildly in '88 when Curt Gibson hit that historic home run and when Orel Hershiser threw that final strike to sew the series up.

Finally, last year, it was almost that same Dodger magic when they avenged themselves against the Yankees from nearly 50 years earlier... but something was missing. That Dodger mojo from the 70s and 80s was gone. No more Tom Lasorda... Vin Scully... Steve Garvey... Ron Cey... Mike Piazza...

Thanks to Clayton Kershaw for trying to keep the old spirit alive.

Those are some big names you mentioned. Some of those names bring back some early childhood memories. I remember when Gibson was playing with the Tigers shortly before going to the Dodgers. Everything before that is a blur because I was probably watching Inspector Gadget. 😬
