I am curious to know if other churches of similar size have as many scandals as FBC?

I get that no place is perfect and maybe we hear about things because there's ties to that place.

But I'm just curious as to why it seems there's always something about that place that comes up from scams to flat out evil.

Frankly, I don't know that there are any more "scandals" in IFB churches than any others. I believe in the depravity of man, which knows no denominational boundaries. People are sinful and they commit sinful acts, sometimes grossly sinful. But I also believe that what resides in them (a sinful nature), which produces corrupt fruit, also resides in me. I pray to God that He gives me what I need to resist the devil.

The fruit comes from the roots.

Just this morning I read of an arrest of a 24-year-old female teacher in a public high school who sent nude pictures (of herself) to a 16 year old male student.

The complete sinfulness of man doesn't ask what church someone attends or their race or their sex. People sin because that's who they are. And it shall be that way until we are redeemed at the resurrection.

But the church should address the sin properly. That's what makes the coverups in churches a bigger issue.
