Why am I shocked?

Don't forget we had to go off campus to do our laundry, but, yes, that was on a bus, too:)

Strangely, I recall one male student (won't name names) who was about 25-27 years old, who was divorced and single. If my memory serves me well (debatable) he was not allowed to live in the dorms with the single guys and I THINK he may have had restrictions concerning dating female students. He was something of an anomaly for the times.

Good point. I just knew about the one lady. Maybe there were more. Don't know.

The elder son could represent the scribes and Pharisees only as much as the unjust judge in another parable could represent the Father.

Outwardly, they may have seemed loyal, but inwardly they were as indulgent of their lusts as any rioter.

We went to where Mrs Lewis mom to the Lewis sisters worked and she was precious.

Actually, if I knew it, I had forgotten that -- not being a female student! But, yikes! How did that work? I mean, you can't exactly take thirty people by bus to the coin operated laundry and get all that done in a couple of hours, right? I do remember a certain coin operated laundry a few of us guys went to.

Another question -- does the college have washers and dryers for the on campus students today??

And let me guess ... heaven forbid the guys and girls get caught using the same laundry, right?
 
Mix a courting couple's load together in a front load washer........and you've got a serious problem!!!!! The whole thing just reeks of compromise!!!!!

I think they had buses go a couple of nights each week to the laundromat. I was usually the last one finished. It was there I learned to fold a fitted sheet. We went when it rained or when it snowed.............and we liked it that way!

I never even thought about that, but I was more righteous than most HAC students:) I really can't remember much about laundry and until Jo brought it up, had forgotten about going to the coin operated. But I'm sure I was barely competent to keep my clothes clean. My mama spoiled me like that 😇
