Inflation is down. It was created by Biden and it’s not gonna go away overnight. Spending on credit is not a new phenomenon. People are often financially stupid, spending outside of their means because they need the latest iPhone 18. That doesn’t mean the economy is bad. As far as employment. I work at what is considered one of the best employers in my region. We can’t get people to work. I’m not talking about merely $25 an hour either. We’re getting ready to fire a guy who keeps making up crap about why he can’t come to work. He’s young, just started the job, and more than $25 an hour. Just like during the pandemic, people didn’t wanna leave their telework and other comfortable situations and go back to the job market. They talk about a balanced work life regimen. My dad called it lazy. For 35 years of my working life I heard Democrats especially talk about the main reason they vote is the economy. I never had a worse economic situation in my life until Biden. It’s nothing like that right now for my portfolio. I won’t get into specifics, you can just take my word for it. I’m not citing my own personal example anecdotally as the norm, but I can tell you other stories of people that are working to middle class that feel the same way.Cost of living
Inflation
Spending this holiday season over 50% of Americans put their spending on credit.
Unemployment is high
Again my example of $25 dollars per hour single family income household.
Trump tax cuts were for corporations not for people like me and you.
I was just thinking that the Democrats had Biden in WH and controlled house and senate for a couple of years. It’s not an exclusively Republican problem. Not if they’re not America First.
I'm with you in paragraph one.
As for paragraph two, it should be Jesus Christ First.
Constitutional Supreme Court justicesHonest question, what policies are you talking about? Minus closing the boarder bc he did do that and that’s a good thing.
Truth. Just one quarter of the Biden administration cost my wife and I $60,000. Fortunately, the first two quarters of the Trump administration made most of that back.Inflation is down. But we vote republican. So it’s our problem if we continue to vote them in. Again, if they know we’re gonna vote republican no matter what they will continue to screw us. Fro example, H1B visas. I’m sure you e heard it many times. College young people aren’t able to use their degrees because we allow 600,000 come in a year and 40% are entry level jobs and those jobs should be going to Americans but there not.I was just thinking that the Democrats had Biden in WH and controlled house and senate for a couple of years. We need term limits.
Pretty much my experience, at least relative to what I saw in young adulthood among my peers versus what I see now.Americans are lazy and stupid. Yep, that’s what Trump and Vivek said too.
Gotcha, never look up always look down is what they have trained the American people to do.
Younger generation is lazy and only what handouts.
Much of what you said sounds very similar to my story, but especially the part above.…Depending on market forces, we may want to move our investments to a more conservative portfolio but for now, we're holding the line. …
that kind of thing only works if you control all the votes.... otherwise it;s just another situation where foolish action splits conservative voters whichleads to the victory of the opposite side... .....and that gives them all the leverage........But we vote republican. This is why I say America First or we hold the vote. This is our only leverage.
Always the American peoples fault got it.Pretty much my experience, at least relative to what I saw in young adulthood among my peers versus what I see now.
Besides that, most of the other things you said about the economy are either skewed.
Oh yeah, gas was 2.29 a gallon when I filled up yesterday.![]()
If the other side wins that’s not on us it’s on the politicians, period.that kind of thing only works if you control all the votes.... otherwise it;s just another situation where foolish action splits conservative voters whichleads to the victory of the opposite side... .....and that gives them all the leverage........
I've been using Quicken to track my finances since 1988. It lets me look at yearly totals instead of the day-to-day fluctuations.Besides that, most of the other things you said about the economy are either skewed.

I've been using Quicken to track my finances since 1988. It lets me look at yearly totals instead of the day-to-day fluctuations.
This year, I've spent slightly more (about 8%) on gas than last year, although less than I spent in 2022 & 2023. I don't think we've driven anymore this year than last year, but that would be a relevant piece of data.
This year, I've spent significantly more on groceries than last year, and more than each of Biden's years.
This year, I've spent more on all utilities than last year, and more than each of Biden's years.
And since I always like some humor, this year, I spent more for daughter 1's wedding than I did for daughter 2's wedding last year.
From my perspective, the economy is worse this year than last. Of course, one can argue that Trump is reversing the damage done by Biden. I'll see if 2026 improves.
And just so I'm not labeled a Biden supporter: I've never voted for a Democrat for any federal office. I've always voted Republican, Independent, or Libertarian.
Two parties, Democrats and Republicans, have monopolized American politics for nearly 200 years. If neither party represents your values, you're out of luck. Our binary party structure sorely lacks. Political bosses determine each party's platform whether it represents the population or not. The best that individuals can do is lobby the party that pretends to mirror their concerns more closely than the other. It's not fair. It stinks. I wish we could break free of this binary either or trap but until enough momentum arises to make meaningful changes, everything will be as it has.And if you vote Independent or Libertarian, why?

and if you are crossing the street when the walk sign is on..... but a car runs the red light and hits you.....it;s on the driver of the car.. ..according to the law it won;t matter whether you looked first or not... . you had the right of way... ....... ..... but then after a scenario like that you might also be dead or crippled for life........ is it worth it?.....If the other side wins that’s not on us it’s on the politicians, period.
Well, keep voting republican no matter what. No leverage and they know it. They will continue to give corporate tax cuts and screw us because they know you will vote for them.and if you are crossing the street when the walk sign is on..... but a car runs the red light and hits you.....it;s on the driver of the car.. ..according to the law it won;t matter whether you looked first or not... . you had the right of way... ....... ..... but then after a scenario like that you might also be dead or crippled for life........ is it worth it?.....
so... rather than see a few rich guys get tax breaks ... you would rather see yourself and millions of other americans like yourself get massive tax increases ......Well, keep voting republican no matter what. No leverage and they know it. They will continue to give corporate tax cuts and screw us because they know you will vote for them.
