but if you are talking about trump seizing control of mexico - there is a big difference in the 2 situations that seems to have escaped both you and MTG..... ...

1 - the drugs cartels operating out of mexico are not controlled by the mexican government..... whereas the cartels operating from venezuela are both owned and operated by the maduro regime....

2 - negotiations are still under way between the trump admin and mexico with regards to stopping the cartels and many different drug "families" in control of them........... mexico is cooperating with that effort as much as they can without putting themselves ar risk of seeing their own family members cut in pieces and their naked bodies hung from bridges..... the effort is ongoing and due to this recent action may begin to see better results..... ....

3 - maduro made it clear he had no intention of stopping the venezuela cartels and even openly challenged trump to do something about it...... he made a big show of building up his military to confront the u.s. and literally made comments to the effect that any attack on venezuela by the united states would end in a u.s defeat.....

4 - maduro was bringing in assets and military support from china - russia - cuba - iran and also allowing hezbollah to become established in venezuela..... and openly flaunting all of it.... .... so far mexico has not done that and does not openly support any of those countries or organizations....... ...... do you need more or is that enough for now?.....

give trump some time when it comes to mexico.......... they are still on the list.......

1. I’m sorry but you are sadly mistaken.

I to some extent have no issues with the US taking the oil but seizing ;-) (my bad I get in a hurry) the country for regime change? No. History tells us that the US isn’t good at this.

it's not a regime change..... . the vice president second in command to maduro... (from the same regime)... is currently in charge in venezuela..... trump said we would be running things there ... for now.... .. hopefully only until they get their house in order..... ....

and you are wrong as you can be about american history and american use of the military to reign in rogue governments... ...as was already mentioned to you by another poster - go get some history books and do some reading....... i;m not going to try to explain the last 250 years of american history to you just because you never studied it and would rather make up whatever sounds good to you..........

which one is the fact?..... that our u.s. military has dropped bombs?.... ..duh... anyone paying attention to the news knows that........ . or the picture of a fighter jet presented as an example of the u.s. dropping bombs ... but which is not a bomber and does not drop bombs?...

and?........ what does a list of mistakes made by recent presidents trying to invent their own doctrine of strength through demonstrations of weakness and befuddlement.... (beginning with george bush the 1st and kuwait).... have to do with trump - who is determined to return to former u.s. policies? - policies that existed prior to lyndon johnson and his experiment with demonstratons of weakness and befuddlement in vietnam......

you talk "america first" but seem to support the same kind of isolation and lack of vigilance that invited the japanese to attack pearl harbor in 1941.... it didn;t work then and it won;t work now.... ..
